If you are planning to become a residential property manager (or perhaps a property and business salesperson), obtaining the so-called certificate of registration is a mandatory step. Without it, you cannot legally manage and organise the letting of residential properties owned by third parties, nor complete any of the connected tasks. You can actually apply for the certificate online by following several simple steps. Here is all you need to know about it:
The documents required
For this step, you may choose any valid document that makes proof of your identity. It could be a driver’s licence, a passport, a card with a photo, etc. You need to make a copy of the chosen document. In addition, your qualifications matter and this means you have to prove these, too. Provide evidence for any qualification you may have.
The online application process
You have to go to NSW.Gov.Au, where you’ll see the “Apply Now” button. This will begin the process of getting property certificates instantly. There will be a series of Terms and Conditions that one must agree with; it is always recommended to read these thoroughly before ticking the box. Once you agree, you will be taken to the page where you can generate your personal YouGov account. Fill in the spaces with the required information and select the options which suit your application best. At some point, you will be required to send the documents specified by attaching these. How to pay

When you fail to apply online
If for some reason you cannot or do not wish to apply on the Internet, there is another way to obtain these certificates. You will need a specific application form, which can be downloaded online on the same governmental website mentioned above. Fill it out and provide the payment data as well. Make sure to include the needed document in the file. Go to any service centre and hand in your application; you may also choose to mail it.
